The Song Bird
This is the Synopsis of The Song Bird – an Opera for Children. Originally commissioned & produced by Opera Queensland, this opera has had more than 350 performances since its creation. Libretto by Anne Roylance with Music by Sean O’Boyle.
A brave girl fights to free the last remaining Song Bird from the Curiosity Shop of the sinister Mr Twister. This wonderful introduction to opera for children aged 5 to 99 years encourages them to think about issues such as bullying, animal rights and the extinction of species.
